About Lone Dog Workshop

I started woodworking to take myself away from my day job in front of a computer, working with my hands is so satisfying and learning new skills and techniques is so much fun!

I was lucky enough after working out of many small spaces to build my dream workshop in the NSW Southern Highlands - lots of family support from my beautiful wife and two boys, encouraging me along!

The wonderful part of this journey is watching others enjoy my creations which is why I decided to open this store. If there is an idea you would like realised or have a custom piece you would like to discuss please reach out. Nothing is too hard when you take it one step at a time...

Cheers

Wooden table for a mixer with happy customer standing alongside

A unique problem for this customer, not tall enough to see in the bowl of this huge mixer, she asked me to create a fit for purpose table to allow her to wheel it in and out of her pantry and make it properly usable without a ladder. Some beautiful Australian Hardwoods used in this build

Being featured in the Dec 2023 Highlife Magazine was a real treat! The editor had seen the reindeer and thought it would work for the Christmas edition and it certainly gave us some exposure! They were great to work with and of course I gave them some reindeer for the office

We were lucky enough to take out a First and two Second Prizes at the 2023 Moss Vale Show! Great comments from judges and the public. There were many great local artists on display so very proud to be recognised.

A special project for a new customer - a bread cutting board with a crumb tray to keep your kitchen clean - all the rage in Europe, she loved it and it was a great challenge for me. Red Mahogany and Tallowwood with a brass knob.
